ISBN 978-1-60264-671-1 (softcover) $24.95, 48 pages. On
Sunday mornings, I can generally be found at the Church of the Six-Mile
Walk. That's what I call it - quiet time when I can let both my feet
and my mind wander. Sometimes I stroll through town to Lake Monroe,
other times I hoof it out on one of the hiking trails. A few years ago, I
started taking my camera with me, snapping photos of everything - thank
goodness for digital technology - eventually developing a photographic
"eye" through trial and (much) error. This book is a small collection of
things I notice on my Sunday rambles - sandhill cranes, flowers of
various sorts, dew-covered spider webs, the river at dawn. So come on -
let's take a walk.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR G.K.
Sharman is a professional writer and editor who recently picked up a
camera (Canon, if you’re interested), looked at her work and thought,
"ehhhh, not too shabby. Maybe somebody will give me a few bucks." Anyone
interested in supporting this disreputable habit of hers can find her
at Alive After 5 in Sanford (second Thursday of the month) and other art
shows around Central Florida and occasionally in gallery shows. She is
also the winner of the 2009 Faces of Hunger contest (sponsored by
Orlando Second Harvest). Are you web-savvy? Then catch her at gkspix.com
